Context
A GenAI-powered financial forecasting tool aimed at the leadership team. The brief was deceptively simple: take complex, model-driven numbers and make them something executives can actually use to take weekly decisions — without dumbing it down for the analysts who own the data underneath. Two audiences, one screen.
Approach
I worked closely with consultants and data scientists to align business questions, data logic and usability across desktop and mobile. I designed an executive layer that surfaces three to five KPIs per business unit on the very first screen, with the deeper view one click away. Then I rebuilt the visual grammar on top of Power BI — typography, colour, chart choices — and aligned every chart to the same time model, so for the first time reports could actually be compared side by side.
Outcome
Weekly leadership reviews dropped from 90 to 35 minutes without losing depth of conversation. The 'first screen' pattern has been adopted across other business units and is now the default starting point for every new dashboard in the group.
