Context
Designed from scratch: a platform that uses AI agents to generate legal contracts and run operational workflows. The hard part wasn't the AI — it was making it readable. When autonomous agents are doing the work, operators need to see what's happening, understand why, and step in with confidence. Without that, the product is impressive in a demo and unusable in production.
Approach
I framed the product around two questions users actually asked out loud: 'what is the agent doing right now' and 'why did it decide that'. From there I designed the end-to-end flows, the UI in Figma, a scalable design system and interactive prototypes for testing rounds. I worked side by side with consultants, engineers and legal-ops stakeholders to turn domain logic into transparent, guided interfaces — and stayed involved through handover with documentation, design reviews and onboarding sessions for the client's internal team.
Outcome
A workspace that turns opaque agent execution into something a legal operator can actually steer. The reasoning-timeline patterns and the design system we built here are now the foundation for the next wave of AI products in the same suite.
